Kamiel Verschuren: drawings

Kamiel Verschuren (NL, 1968) is an interdisciplinary artist who lives and works in Rotterdam. His work is focused on investigating and expanding the concept and existential experience of space. To this end, he uses all possible media, such as drawing, photography, (graphic) design, sculpture, text and sound installations, architectural projects and public events.

Drawing is often the starting point and the leitmotiv in Verschuren's work. With more than twenty years' experience as an artist, Verschuren has amassed an enormous oeuvre of drawings, including original drawings, design drawings, text drawings and idea sketches.

This exhibition will present a selection of his drawings. The process of viewing the work, taking stock of it, applying the finishing touches, making a selection and finally presenting it has also laid the groundwork for a publication of his most appealing and prominent drawings. The publication will be funded by the sale of the drawings from the exhibition.
